The idea of forming a Delmar Alumni Association was inspiration of Pat Wood and David Burton, Jr. They called an organizational meeting on June 26, 2002 at the Delmar VFW. It was decided to hold an interest meeting at the High school on July 11, 2002. Twenty-eight people attended the meeting. There was discussion and formation of a committee to develop by-laws. At the next meeting by-laws were presented and discussed. Officers were elected and thus the Alumni Association was formed.
Founded in 2002 the purpose of the Delmar High School Alumni Association is to promote unity and fellowship among the alumni. The goals are to publish an annual newsletter, hold an annual banquet, raise funds for the scholarship program and to organize alumni activities.
Two Types of memberships are available, regular membership shall be confined to graduates and attendees of Delmar School and must be at least 18 years of age. An Associate membership shall be any person who has an interest in the alumni association and must be at least 18 years of age.
